A not many decades ago nobody was discussing a European Sales Law. Nowadays there are already academic working clumps coming up with drafts upon a future European Sales Law. The discussion forward the harmonization of European contract law started a certain quantity of decades ago. An enormous degree forward towards the idea of a European Sales Law and Private Law harmonization in general was made in 1980 in the Vienna Sales Convention.
