Contra get backs for the second time in succession the PS2 -- but this time around, the game plays in 3D instead of the traditional 2D side-scrolling perspective. Heresy, you say? Don't be too quick to caper to conclusions. The 3D format of Neo Contra allows for recent types of movement and novel strategies for dealing with the burlesque bosses you face. Environments have destructible backgrounds as well, likewise you even get to behold the blown-up remains that you'd leave behind in real life.

In addition to main character Bill Rizer, Neo Contra also introduces a samurai-ish representation guy with the unlikely name of name Genbei Jaguer Yagyu. He's the second-player character in this game, and judging by way of the sword by his side, he'll be something of a unimpaired breeze for the Contra franchise. (He may not consider very fresh, or nice-smelling, still you'll just have to trust us in succession this.)
