The European Commission (EC) not long ago announced the results of its Clean Urban Transport for Europe (CUTE) phlogiston fuel cell-powered bus trial.

According to the commission, more than 4 million folks in nine European cities have traveled more than 1 million kilometers in 27 firing material cell transit buses since the effort began in 2003

EC noted that the bus brew attained a number of achievements, including the design, construction and operation of nine inflammable air supply chains and refueling stations, and the production and use of throughout 192 tons of hydrogen. Of that total, 100 tons were generated from renewable sources.

The commission announced that a series of further demonstration concocts grouped under the initiative "Hydrogen for Transport" will inflict some 200 hydrogen-powered vehicles forward European roads during the nearest three years. HyFLEET: CUTE will descry the operation of nearly 50 inflammable air buses on three continents, while naught REGIO will see the operation of eight material for burning cell passenger cars in Frankfurt, Germany and Mantova, Italy, and HyCHAIN: MINITRANS will descry the operation of 158 small transport vehicles in France, Germany, Spain and Italy.
