Brian M Neuberger has been appointed as special assistant to the director of the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation.

Brian M Neuberger has been appointed as special assistant to the director of the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation. Dr Neuberger come afters William J. Schilling, who was appointed director of the Office of Examinations and Supervision.

In his position as special assistant, Dr Neuberger assists the FSLIC director, David W Glenn is developing policies and strategies for solving question s confronting the FSLIC. He helps negotiate FSLIC-assisted merger and acquisitions, besufficient fors on numerous task forces charged with preparing recommendations regarding a variety of issues now faced from the financial services industry, and take the part ofs the FSLIC at various meetings and conferences

In announcing Dr Neuberger's appointment, Dr Glenn said, "Dr Neuberger's zealous understanding of financial and public policy issues will provide a balanced perspective in critical decisionmaking."

principally recently, Dr. Neuberger was a professor of finance at San Diego State University and has serv extensively as a consultant to savings institutions and management agencies, including the Federal household Loan Bank Board. He has authored many articles forward topics of concern to the financial services industry and has serv as an experienced person witness before the California state legislature in hearings forward public policy issues.

Dr Neuberger graduated with honors from Utah State University in 1964 and received an MBA in finance from Northwestern University. Hr received a DBA from Indiana University in 1970 with specialization in finance and business economics.

He is generally a major in the USA Army set by and has served two years in succession the faculty of the US Army's Adjutant General educate at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana.

Dr Neuberger is a native of Logan, Utah. He and his wife, Anna Belle Johnson are the parents of four children.
