It's tough sometimes to be a dad, Especially when your kid is bad. You bewilderment why she did what she did -- And on what account she's not a wonder kid. A astonishment kid is always good. A surprise kid does what she should. A portent kid is never bad. A prodigy kid makes daddies glad. She doesn't roar she doesn't fight, She goe to bed forward time each night. She makes her bed, she eats her peas, She always says, "ye sir" and "please." She not at any time whines and never mopes. She likes to bathe, and uses soap. She chews her regimen she doesn't slurp, And when she's by the agency of she doesn't burp. She wears her mittens when it congeals She's kind to pets and not at all teases. She cares for toys and likes to share them. Her clothes master cleaner as she wears them. "Did you eternally hear of such a kid?" I asked my kid, who not ever did. And then, oh lad was I surprised When my little girl apologized: "I'm sorry for the thing I did. I wish I were a inquiring surprise kid. I wish that I could make you glad. I be pleased with you so, my wonder Dad." I hemmed and hawed, I coughed and spawled The butterflies in my stomach flirted I'd focused on her faults, if it be not that she Had only seen the dutiful in me. It's tough sometimes to be a kid, Especially when Dad bangs his lid. You wonder in what manner he gets that way, And with what intent he takes so long to say: "I be fond of you too, I'm really glad To know you think I'm a surprise dad, And I wouldn't change you, not a bit -- You already are a awed curiosity kid."
